Intrapulmonary and gastric teratoma : report of two cases.
The lung and stomach are very unusual sites for teratoma. The histologic findings of intrapulmonary and gastric teratomas are not different from those arising in usual sites, such as the ovary or testis. However, preoperative diagnosis is sometimes difficult to make partly because of unusual location. We report here two cases of teratoma, one intrapulmonary teratoma and the other gastric. The i...

Intrapulmonary teratoma is reported in a 22-year-old male. A chest X-ray in a physical examination showed a round shadow in the left hilum of a 22-year-old man who, on admission, reported slight malaise and a decrease in body weight. Computed tomographic scan and magnetic resonance imaging of the chest showed a heterogeneously dense cystic lesion. The preoperative diagnosis was anterior mediast...

The classic symptom that suggests an intrapulmonary teratoma is trichoptysis (expectoration of hair),2 which, though pa...

A man presented with chest trauma as a result of an accident at 10 September 2011. On chest X-ray, an anterior mediastinal mass was detected. To obtain further information, chest computed tomography (CT) with contrast enhancement was performed, revealing an anterior ...
